Armenian politicians do not fully understand PACE's mission
Armenian authorities expected PACE to demonstrate a passive attitude towards the situation in the country. Opposition found the Assembly obliged to resolve all the problems pertaining to the public sector, Eurointegration NGO's chair Karen Bekaryan told a news conference in Yerevan.

"Resolution 1677 clearly showed that Armenia currently has real potentials for initiating a discussion over the realization of resolution recommendations. The issue is whether the radical opposition will agree to start a political dialogue with the authorities," the expert stressed. "By running for Yerevan Council elections, the opposition could have introduced its positions on different issues. It might have cured society," he added.

The expert also expressed his disapproval of RA delegation member Zaruhi Postanjyan's conduct. "We must realize that Armenia is a full member of an organization in which various countries, including Azerbaijan and Turkey, are represented," he stressed, adding that the Armenian delegation should act as a united organ and establish constructive cooperation.
