
Janes Nazaryan, who won the gold medal at the U17 World Wrestling Championships in Baku, told Azerbaijani media that the Armenian national team was satisfied with the organization of the tournament and the reception it received.
"We are in a very good mood. We received a very warm welcome here. The tournament is well organized, at a high level, and the participants were very strong. I am happy that I won," he said, according to Factor.am .
The Armenian wrestler also stressed that the team encountered no organizational difficulties.
"All the necessary conditions were created for our participation in the World Championships in Baku. We were welcomed very well, and everything needed to prepare comfortably and compete was provided," he said.
Competing in the 71 kg weight category at the U17 World Wrestling Championships in Baku, Janes Nazaryan became a world champion for the second time in his career after defeating Russia's Aslan Dzuev 4-3 in the final.
