Are USA, EU and RF ready to show solidarity in their capacity of arbiters?
Peaceful settlement of NKR conflict doesn't depend on Yerevan and Baku only, but also states, acting as mediators in the process, Alexei Vlasov, Director General of MSU Information-Analytical Center for Social and Political Processes Research in post Soviet space said at Yerevan -Moscow Space Bridge, entitled "RA and Azeri Presidents' meeting in Moscow. Is progress in negotiations possible?"
"Mutual interests in NKR conflict settlement process are the main foundation for parties to turn words into actions. Today we have a real chance for a breakthrough," Russian politologist noted.
At the same time he added that there are two key issues on NKR conflict settlement agenda: First, whether USA, EU and RF are ready to show solidarity in their capacity of arbiters without using double standards, and second, if RA and Azeri societies are ready to compromise.
"At the moment, Russia has to prove itself to be an effective moderator in NKR conflict, capable of motivating parties towards a dialogue in order to put a full stop in protracted NKR conflict," Alexei Vlasov stated.
