Government's aims and sincerity are not trustworthy
"RA Government's economic policy has failed, as Prime Minister's position on economy issues in October-December 2008 significantly differed from the situation we faced in January -April 2009," United Labor Party Leader Gurgen Arsenyan said at a joint news conference with RA ex-Premier Hrant Bagratyan in Yerevan.
According to Arsenyan, RA Prime Minister's statements suggest either his deliberate misleading of people or poor command of situation. "Government's aims and sincerity are not trustworthy," Gurgen Arsenyan emphasized.
According to him, Government's anti-crisis program is only a cover -up, unable to help overcome crisis consequences.
In his turn, Hrant Bagratyan noted that official anti-crisis program does not actually exist. He cited the following figures for economic downfall: 10% in Russia, 17% in Armenia, 1.7% - global downfall. Azerbaijan registered 4% economic growth in the first semester of 2009. "Huge economic downfalls in Armenia and Russia are caused by governments' funding offer instead of demand since the beginning of world financial crisis," Bagratyan said.
