Russia not interested in conflicts in Caucasus
Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said his country is not interested in lingering conflicts in the Caucasus.

"President Dmitry Medvedev exerts every effort for resolution of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. He regularly meets the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan," Mr. Putin said in a press conference in Ankara.

"Any conflict hampers development of positive relations. But Russia's position is that we can't act instead of the conflicting sides. We can only be the guarantors of agreements which will lead to final resolution of the conflict," he said, RIA Novosti reported.
