Nagorno Karabakh conflict and Armenian-Turkish relations are different in essence
"I do not intend to comment on the statements by the British Ambassador in Turkey, but I can only express my opinion. Progress in the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement is a loose concept," Alexander Iskandaryan , Armenian political scientist, Director of Caucasus Institute said in an interview with PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, stressing that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and Armenian-Turkish relations are essentially different processes with different time intervals.

According to him, the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict and Armenian-Turkish reconciliation to some extent, may affect each other, but it is not realistic that the solution of the first problem will allow to settle the second one.

British Ambassador to Turkey Nick Baird completing his diplomatic mission, said in an interview to Turkish Hürriyet, that the process of Armenian-Turkish reconciliation can be successful only after a real progress in the Karabakh problem settlement.
