Administration of the South Caucasian Railways CJSC thanked RA Transport Police chief Hrachik Makaryan for ensuring security of Yerevan-Batumi-Yerevan route, the company's press office reported.

Thanks to the joint measures, summer ridership was exercised on the highest level, with observation of all security rules, the SCR said in a statement.

As of September 4, 14 523 passengers have been transported.
