End of 2009 will show possible changes in Armenia's ability to attract investments
End of 2009 will show possible changes in Armenia's ability to attract investments, "Economy and values" research center representative Sevak Hovhannisyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter. According to him, paradoxically, in 2008 Armenia showed the highest results for foreign investments' attraction volume. "This was linked to foreign investments' attraction in the framework of major infrastructure projects implementation. As for 2009, end-of -year results will determine Armenia's ability to attract investments," he noted.
We have some concerns that Armenia's economic structure will remain unchanged even upon overcoming financial crisis consequences, Hovhannisyan noted. "Among structural changes, IT sphere plays an important role for business development in RA, promoting economic growth. Still , I have some concerns that economic structure will not see significant changes," he said.
