RA Parliament Speaker and Head of WB Yerevan Office discussed prospects for cooperation
National Assembly Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan has today received Aristomene Varoudakis, Head of WB office in Yerevan, RA NA Public Relations department reports.
Welcoming his guest, Parliament Speaker highly assessed World Bank's cooperation with Armenian authorities and expressed willingness to assist in its projects. In that context, he stressed the importance of establishing Parliament's control over effective use of sums allocated to Armenia.
During the meeting, parties discussed issues concerning financial-economic recession and its impact on Armenia. They also touched upon possible cooperation between World Bank and National Assembly in the sphere of developing Parliament's professional and technical capacities.
