Opening of Armenian-Turkish border to promote Armenia's development
Opening of the border with Turkey can help development of Armenian economy, according to Arsen Ghazaryan, chairman of RA union of industrialists and entrepreneurs.

He disagreed with former Armenian Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian who insisted that "Armenia will develop even if the border remains closed during next 100 years."

"Opening of the border without preconditions will also allow establishment of economic relations between the two states. Turkish Chamber of Commerce is lobbying for this, but unfortunately the process has proved inefficient so far," he said.

Ghazaryan also reminded that an agreement on exhibition of Turkish goods in Armenia was concluded in 1998 but the initiative was not realized.
