Alexander Sotnichenko: Turkey between devil and deep (blue) sea
Turkey is trying to maneuver to derive benefits for itself and not to offend Azerbaijan, a Russian expert said.
"I don't know what about the Armenian parliament but the Turkish Grand Assembly is going to ratify the protocols on normalization of relations," Alexander Sotnichenko, senior fellow at Saint Petersburg Center for Middle East Studies, told PanARMENIAN.Net.
"Turkey is between the devil and the deep blue sea but I think the protocols will be ratified," he said.
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Sunday that Turkey and Armenia will sign a deal to establish diplomatic ties on Oct. 10.
