NKR people can't be forced into accepting unacceptable principles for conflict settlement
Turkey will not abandon the idea of setting NKR issue as a precondition for RA-Turkish rapprochement, member of RF Public Chamber, ORT channel presenter Maxim Shevchenko told PanARMENIAN.Net reporter. "NKR issue should not be perceived as a strictly bilateral conflict. The conflict also pertains the interests of forces, having no direct connection with the problem."
According to him, the progress in NKR settlement depends both on Armenian and Azeri people. "Should NKR people dislike suggested scenarios for conflict settlement, they will not forced into accepting them by Yerevan, Moscow, Baku or Brussels. The position is understandable as people are defending their rights. This is objective reality," Maxim Shevchenko emphasized.
He added that considering this reality, Armenian shouldn't have apprehensions about the dialogue with Turkey, as the rapprochement will provide new possibilities for RA. "RA-Turkish relations are an important factor to NKR conflict settlement as Ankara will never renounce or betray Baku," Maxim Shevchenko concluded.
