Armenian-Turkish relations to push international community into silence on Armenian Genocide
"I very much wish President Serzh Sargsyan didn't sign Armenian-Turkish Protocols, as that would deprive Armenians worldwide of the opportunity to return to their historical homeland," Heritage party leader Raffi Hovhannisyan told today a news conference in Yerevan.

To journalists' question whether Heritage would demand RA President's resignation, Hovhannisyan answered, "My citizen's approach is that such course of processes will definitely give rise to that demand." However, Hovhannisyan was against "demanding resignation without reason and only thereafter taking steps."

When asked by a PanARMENIAN.Net correspondent whether Armenian-Turkish normalization based on current Protocols could run parallel with international Genocide recognition, Heritage leader said they could be theoretically combined since anything was possible in politics. "But practically, Armenian-Turkish rapprochement will push international community into silence on Armenian Genocide because of historical sub-commission," he noted.
