Archbishop Choloyan: Normalization of Armenia-Turkey relations is all-Armenian issue
Normalization of the Armenia-Turkey relations is an All-Armenian issue, Archbishop Oshakan Choloyan, the Primate of the Eastern Diocese of the U.S. of the Great House of Cilicia said. He praised highly the initiative of the Armenian President to meet with representatives of Diaspora and hear their views on the Armenian-Turkish Protocols. Archbishop Choloyan characterized as natural the reaction of Armenian communities, being concerned over the future of Armenia.

""It's positive that Serge Sargsyan is trying to settle relations between countries, but it shouldn't be at the cost of the Armenian Genocide," Oshakan Choloyan said. This will be the first document in the history to be signed between Turkey and Armenia, he said. Prior to that, the Armenian side had not participated in negotiation processes, and then the countries signed a document, the Treaty of Kars, which was signed by Turkey and Russia. As Archbishop Choloyan noticed, the president's visit to the Armenian communities is another reason to carefully discuss the Armenian-Turkish Protocols.
