Armenian films to be demonstarted in military units of the country
At the initiative of the National Film Center of Armenia and the RA Ministry of Defense starting from 2009 Armenian films will be demonstrated in all military units of the country.
The project started on September 25 in the military units located near Lake Sevan. Lectures on cinematography, meetings with creative groups and other cultural events have been organized there. Feature films "Sad Street" by Albert Mkrtchyan, "Spring Heghnar" by Arman Manaryan and animated films of Robert Sahakyants have been demonstrated.
According to Martin Urikhanyan, head of marketing and international relation department of the National Film Center of Armenia, in 2007, the center carried out a similar project as a part of the "Inter-regional cultural cooperation. Culture" program under the auspices of the RA ministry of culture. Films will also be demonstrated in military units of the NKR.
