90% of US Armenians questioned opposed to RA-Turkish Protocols conclusion
"In reply to assertions on Armenian Diaspora's supporting RA-Turkish rapprochement process as well as protocols initialed, I'd like to note that 90% of US Armenians questioned (100 000 Armenian families) are opposed to RA-Turkish Protocols conclusion," ARF Dashnaktsutyun Parliamentary Faction Leader Vahan Hovhannesyan said at today's parliamentary sitting.
According to Hovhannesyan, protest atmosphere is also prevalent in Armenia. He cited today's joint statement specifying 4 serious threats the protocols pose. The statement was signed by 12 RA political parties including Heritage and ARFD.
"Threats posed is the reason we asked for alterations in protocols before their conclusion," ARFD Parliamentary Faction Leader emphasized.
