Arpi Vartanian: Turkey to recognize the Armenian Genocide sooner or later
Regional Director of the Armenian Assembly of America (AAA) in Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh Arpi Vartanian is confident that the Protocols on normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations cannot prevent international recognition of the Armenian Genocide .
According to her, the Armenian Genocide is gradually becomes a matter of discussion in the Turkish society. "No one in the world but Turkey deny the fact of the Genocide. I am confident that the general trends will lead to the situation when Turkey sooner or later recognize the Armenian Genocide, " Arpi Vartanian told a news conference in Yerevan today.
"We continue to make efforts aimed at adoption of 252-nd resolution on the Armenian Genocide in the U.S. Congress. This work continues and 132 congressmen have already joined to the resolution, " Arpi Vartanian said.
