Armenia Celebrates Saint Translators' Day
On October 10, Armenian Apostolic Church celebrates Saint Translators' Day . Armenia is the only country celebrating the day of translators, instituted in honor of archimandrites St. Mesrop Mashtots and St, Sahak Parthev, as well as Yeghishe, Movses Kertogh, philosopher David Anhakht, Grigor Narekatsi and Nerses Klayetsi who translated the Bible into Armenian.

Armenian Apostolic Church canonized the translators, who significantly contributed to spiritual and cultural awakening of Armenian nation.

The event is celebrated every year, on the second Saturday of October.
