"German Weeks in Armenia 2009" launches its fall program
German Weeks in Armenia 2009 has launched its fall program. On October 12, Dominik Wagner Quartett and Caroline Bechtle will give concert in Avant Guard Folk Club, Yerevan. After introducing their own program, young German musicians will take part in a jam sation with famous Armenian jazzmen Vahagn Hayrapetyan and David Minasyan. Besides, within the frames of Arevordi program, it is also planned to screen German directors' documentaries on environmental issues.
On October 24, Aslamazyan Sisters' Museum in Germany will host a photo exhibition to display works by Hans-Wulf Bartels, former German Ambassador to RA. Besides, lovers of folk music will enjoy house parties with participation of German DJs.
German Weeks begun on March 20, with an exhibition of renowned German painter Horst Jansen. Concerts of classical music have taken place in Yerevan, Kapan, Vanadzor and Gyumri. So far, 40 events have been organized within the frameworks of program.
