RA-Turkish rapprochement Protocols are a serious contribution to establishment of neighborly relations as well as an atmosphere of understanding and collaboration between the two countries, Vasiliy Likhachev, deputy chairman of RF Federation Council committee on international affairs stated at Yerevan-Ankara-Moscow TV bridge on problems and realities of RA-Turkey rapprochement. "Besides improving RA-Turkey relations, the Protocols will have a positive impact on regional and international security," Vasiliy Likhachev emphasized.

It's important for Yerevan and Ankara to show political will at Protocols' implementation stage, Vasiliy Likhachev noted, urging RA and Turkish MPs to show civil and political responsibility during Protocols' ratification discussions.

Commenting on positive aspects of protocol conclusion, Vasiliy Likhachev noted that documents lay a legal foundation for RA -Turkish rapprochement and added, " It's clear, problems will not be resolved overnight, and NKR conflict settlement process should go parallel to RA -Turkish rapprochement."
