Armenia should develop strategy to gain Turkish IT market
With possible opening of the Armenian-Turkish border, Armenia will enter a serious market, where it should take an aggressive position, according to UITE executive director Karen Vardanyan.

"Opening of the border will offer a possibility to diversify optical communications and increase the republic's information security," he told a news conference today.

At that, Mr. Vardanyan emphasized that Armenia can learn a lesson from Turkey. "The Turkish government creates favorable conditions for IT companies. For example, a techno-park in Igdir and IT-organization functioning at universities are tax-free," he said.

Besides, he noted that with an open border, Armenia will have an outlet to Middle East market as well.
