Italy attaches great importance to relations with Armenia, Italian Foreign Ministry State Secretary Alfredo Mantica said at the meeting with the Ambassador of Armenia to Italy Ruben Karapetyan . According to the Italian diplomat, the Armenian-Italian relations are developing successfully. "We are seriously interested in the Caucasus region and are confident that economic cooperation with Armenia in the jewelry industry and agriculture has a great potential," Alfredo Mantica said. 

As Ruben Karapetyan stressed, Armenia welcomes the intention of Italy to expand its economic presence in the region. During the meeting the officials shared views on Armenian-Turkish relations, the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement and activation of the Armenian-Italian parliamentary cooperation, press office of the RA Foreign Ministry reports.
