Today the official part of the program of Armenian Defense Minister Serge Sargsian's visit to USA began. Today the head of the Armenian defense department will meet with Pentagon head Donald Rumsfeld and other high rank military officials. S.Sargsian's meetings with officials in the Department of State, National Security Council, as well as in Congress are planned. Questions of Armenian-American military-political cooperation, Armenia's contribution to fight against international terrorism, as well as planning the military aid given to Armenia by US Congress will be discussed in the course of the meetings. Armenian Foreign Ministry press office reports Serge Sargsian laid a wreath to the memorial of the victims of the acts of terrorism in New York September 11 and met with the representatives of US Armenian community earlier.
