Serzh Sargsyan: Armenia will continue reforms in customs sphere
President Serzh Sargsyan has received Kunio Mikuriya, Secretary General of World Customs Organization (WCO).

Mr. Sargsyan expressed hope that the visit would help expand cooperation with customs services of other states and contribute to progress in current reforms.

Implementing reforms in customs system and bringing it in compliance with international standards is especially important in crisis time. "We have fixed certain progress in the sphere but still have much to do. So we set much hope on your assistance," the President said.

WCO Secretary General noted in turn that progress in Armenia's customs system was obvious, and subsequent reforms would help increase trade volumes, attract investments and hence increase incomes in the sphere.

Kunio Mikuriya also expressed willingness to assist Armenia in the implementation of reforms.
