Armenian government adopts strategy of smooth transition to manufacturing of end-products
Cooperation between Russia and Armenia covers all major spheres of the economy, Armenia's minister of economy Nerses Yeritsyan said addressing the "Russia-Armenia: economic cooperation" conference, organized within the framework of 'Expo-Russia 2009 Armenia' second industrial exhibition.

The minister named the most important industries for the government fuel and energy spheres, mining and chemical industry, electrical industry, transport.

The minister touched upon prospects for developing uranium deposits, as well as in the construction of the new nuclear power block in Armenia.

"New large-scale projects in Armenia's mining and processing industries can significantly increase trade turnover between Armenia and Russia. Armenian government has chosen the strategy of smooth transition to manufacturing of end-products," he said.

According to Nerses Yeritsyan, there is a great potential for Russian investment in the construction industry.
