Will Turkey find lossless way out of "political triangle"?
Today, Armenia-Turkey rapprochement process is envisioned in the following way: Armenia-Turkey border won't be opened until NKR issue is settled. Still, should the border not be opened, USA congress will adopt a resolution on Armenian Genocide recognition, Oriental Studies Institute Director, turkologist Ruben Safrastyan told a news conference in Yerevan. According to him, Turkey is trying to find a way out of the triangle, managing still to maintain normal relations with Azerbaijan "Both Turkey's and Azerbaijan's recent steps suggest the two countries are interdependent," the turkologist noted.

"Armenia-Turkey rapprochement impacts Turkey-Azerbaijan relations both in political and economic sphere," Safrastyan noted.

The turkologist also commented on Turkish Diaspora's positive reaction on RA-Turkey protocols, noting that Turkish Diaspora, as opposed to Armenian one, is influenced by the government. In contrast to Diaspora, Turkish opposition showed negative attitude, mostly spurred by Azerbaijan.
