All necessary defense expenses are envisaged by the 2010 national budget, said Hrayr Kaparetyan, head of the parliamentary committee on defense, national security and domestic affairs.

"The situation at the contact line between the Armenian and Azerbaijani armed forces proves that Armenian army is more efficient than Azerbaijan's," he told a news conference on November 2.

"Azerbaijani President and Defense Minister make up tales about their army," he said, adding that Armenia will call on international structures to monitor Azeri armed forced to prevent violation of military balance due to Baku's armament race.
