Armenian Ministry of Transport presents feasibility study draft for Yerevan-Tbilisi railway restoration
Armenia's Ministry of Transport and Communication reported on the feasibility study draft for Yerevan-Tbilisi railway restoration on November 18, press service of the ministry reports. Works have been carried out within a year under the EU TRACECA.
The program manager Giovanni Mastrandea, presented three possible options for restoration of the 101 kilometer-long railway from Yerevan to the Georgian border, including the alternative of restoring of Ijevan-Hrazdan railway.

According to him, railways, leading to both Georgia and in Azerbaijan, are in poor condition and for their rehabilitation should be done. In particular, 60 km out of 101 km of Tbilisi-Yerevan railway are in the worst condition, while some 40 km are not too bad, he said and suggested to restore the part of the railway, which will take 6-8 years.
