"Renaissance", first big exhibition of Creative Women's Union, opens in Yerevan
"Armenian women have always been the pillar of family. I don't diminish their role but I do not pay attention to gender slogans either. The important thing for me is a human being's art, regardless gender," Hi Art Center's Director Rita Sharoyan said today during the opening of "Renaissance" exhibition.

The union's first exhibition which will last till December 5 displays about 1 thousand graphic and applied art items created by about 40 artists. All authors are members of Creative Women's Union. In an interview with a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, organization's coordinator Susanna Sargsyan said, "The opening of exhibition on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women is a mere coincidence, however, the event itself is devoted to gender equality issues".
