Azerbaijan hampers Karabakh conflict resolution
Azerbaijan tries its best to prevent resolution of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, saidRichard Giragosian, Director of the Armenian Center for National and International Studies (ACNIS).
"Ilham Aliyev's statements are addressed not only to Armenia but to the international community as well. The war unleashed by Azerbaijan would be a losing one. Armenian army is much better trained than Azerbaijan's. Baku won't be ready for a war during the next ten or twelve years but Yerevan takes thought for the morrow," Richard Giragosian told a news conference in Yerevan on Thursday.
At that, he noted that recent developments in Azerbaijan can shake regional stability. "Azerbaijan intends to import missiles from Korea and launch a military satellite. Azerbaijan-Russia relations tend to normalize and this could entail new processes in the South Caucasus," the expert said.
