Opening of Armenian-Turkish border to scotch Georgian monopoly in the region
The thaw in Armenian-Turkish relations will affect all aspects of Armenian-Georgian ties, according to RA National Assembly member Shirak Torosyan.

He conditions Georgian authorities' consent to unblock the Upper Lars checkpoint by possible opening of the Armenian-Turkish border.

"Georgia understands that Armenia may have an alternative outlet, what will result in reduction of cargo transportation through the Georgian territory," he said.

Torosyan did not rule out that Georgia will lower tariffs for Armenian cargo transit and launch a good-neighborly policy towards Armenia in the near future.
