Tehran police opens fire to disperse demonstrators
Iranian security agents started releasing air shots to disperse anti-government demonstrations, according to one of local reformers' Web site.

"Security forces started shooting in the air to disperse demonstrators from Enghelab Square. Sporadic clashes between police and protestors continue," MIGnews.com reports with reference to Mowjcamp portal.

Police and special services were earlier reported to be using bludgeons and tear gas.

Manifestations were taking place on the two squares of Iranian capital, as well as in Tehran University.

Demonstrators are being arrested.
