Euro2010: Armenia, Azerbaijan to play in different groups?
FIFA has not informed the FFA that Armenia and Azerbaijan will play in different groups, FFA acting spokesman said.
"When in Yerevan in 2007, UEFA President Michel Platini and FIFA President Sepp Blatter stated that being conflicting countries, Armenia and Azerbaijan can't be in the same group," Tigran Israelyan told PanARMENIAN.Net.
Secretary General of the Football Federation of Georgia Revaz Arveladze said that the draw for Euro2012 on February 7, 2010 in Poland will not bring together Armenia vs. Azerbaijan and Georgia vs. Russia.
Armenia and Azerbaijan lost points in Euro2008 qualifier as Azerbaijan refused to ensure security for the Armenian team.
