EU concerned over Turkish Constitutional Court's decision to ban Pro-Kurdish Party
The European Union has voiced concerns over Turkish Constitutional Court's decision to ban the Pro-Kurdish Democratic Society Party (DTP).

According to Swedish representative in EU, the regulation violates Kurdish minority's rights "While strongly denouncing violence and terrorism, the presidency recalls that the dissolution of political parties is an exceptional measure that should be used with utmost restraint," the EU's Swedish presidency said in a statement, Reuters reported.

Turkey's Constitutional Court has voted to ban the country's largest pro-Kurdish party because of alleged links with Kurdish separatist rebels. The decision has mounted a wave of countrywide protests.
