Road traffic accidents at South Caucasus Railways between September and December of 2009 were caused by violations of safety, press service of the company reported.  To prevent  accidents SCR will ensure crossings with guard, and take other necessary measures. "This will not only save lives but also reduce the losses incurred due to idle trains and repair of the damaged rolling stock", the report said. 

The need to increase safety is constantly emphasized by company's management.
