Turkey trying to spread its influence not only in South Caucasus
We have repeatedly said that the process of normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations can strengthen the influence of Turkey in the South Caucasus, which could adversely affect both Armenia and the process of the Karabakh conflict settlement, Eduard Abrahamyan , expert at the Mitq analytical center told a press conference in Yerevan.

According to him, open Armenian-Turkish border will have its positive aspects, but the negative effects will prevail. Mr. Abrahamyan mentioned, that  Turkey always tries to influence the internal political situation in neighboring countries, to change public opinion. According to him, Ankara maintains such a policy in regard to Bulgaria, where e a number of Turkish NGOs operate, and in Georgia. "Today, Turkey is trying to spread its influence not only in the South Caucasus, but the Middle East and the Balkans", Mr. Abrahamyan said.
