Orhan Kemal Cengiz: Turkey closed its eyes to the sins of Talaat and his associates
Hrant Dink was killed by the atmosphere, embraced the country in 1915. That dark side of the Turkish history was the cause of all moves directed against Dink. He knew very well about that "dark" side," wrote Orhan Kemal Cengiz.

According to the Turkish newspaper Today's Zaman, Cengiz recalls that once Dink wrote an article about the adopted daughter of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk Sabiha Gokcen. "Dink wrote that she was Armenian, survived the massacres of 1915. This and other articles of Hrant Dink were reasons murdered the Armenian editor," the writer stressed.
Orhan Kemal Cengiz also writes about the prosecution of Dink, the threats via e-mail and telephone. This suffocating atmosphere that killed Dink, originated in 1915 when Turkey closed its eyes to the sins of Talaat and his associates , the monsters that took away lives of thousands of people," the Turkish writer wrote.

Hrant Dink was killed on January 19, 2007 at editorial office of the "Agos" newspaper in Istanbul. After nearly two years of the trial the perpetrators of the murder are not sentenced. More and more new details appear in the case, in particular, about the involvement of the Ergenekon terrorist organization. The murderer of Hrant Dink's, 18-year-old Ogun Samast was recognized an adult at the time of the murder. Investigation also revealed that the direct perpetrator of the order was a completely different person. After Hrant Dink's assassination a Nobel laureate Orhan Pamuk, being threatened, left Turkey.
