«ARMENIAN AIRLINES» COMPANY RENTED NEW AIRLINER
«Armenian Airlines» company has rented a new airliner TU-154M that will be used for flights in European directions. Civil Aviation Authority head Hovanes Yeritsyan stated it today. In his words, «Armenian Airlines» company has TU-154M on a long lease. He refused to speak about the terms of the contract. As «Arminfo» reports, the new plane is to replace the failing liner A-310 produced by «Airbus Industry» company and rented by «Armenian Airlines» in 1998. An engine failure happened at the Yerevan-Paris flight January 21. Yeritsian noted that according to the agreement on rent, the engine should have been repaired at the expense of «Armenian Airlines» Company, which is in very difficult financial condition. In spite of that, the possibility to have another A-310 airplane on lease is discussed now.
