Foreign Minister of Nagorno Karabakh Republic Naira Melkumian stated today that official Stepanakert invited all Azeri refugees, who had left their homes in Karabakh, to return and live in the Republic together with its aboriginal population. At the same time she stressed that Artsakh authorities had a right to count on a similar step by Azerbaijan as in their time some half a million Armenians, who had become refugees, had lived there. She considers it quite natural that after signing a peace agreement Karabakh party will insist upon releasing Shahumian region, which is illegally inhabited by Azeris at present.
