WASHINGTON READY TO WRITE OFF TURKISH MILITARY DEBT
U.S. Administration has stated its readiness to discuss the opportunity to reduce tariffs for Turkish production import and to write off the country military debt. As reported by "Associated Press", this became known in the course of Turkish Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit's visit to Washington. He expressed gratitude to the U.S. leadership for the support in getting credits from international creditors. Ecevit expressed his satisfaction with George Bush's statement that the level of commercial relations between the allies should correspond to the level of their strategic partnership.
