Tegeran intensifies efforts in Karabakh problem


Political and economic relations between Armenia and Iran are at a high level, which is not true for bilateral cooperation in culture and science, Professor Garnik Asatryan , head of Department of Iranian Studies at Yerevan State University told a press conference in Yerevan. According to him, the construction of railroads and highways linking the two countries are important strategic projects. Speaking about the Iran's role in the settlement of the Karabakh conflict , Garnik Asatryan stressed that initially the official Tehran played an active role in the resolution of the problem. "I think that Iran, as a major players in the region, will again play an active role in this process," the professor said.
