ALMA to host Marash embroidery workshops

On March 7 and 21, ALMA will host two-day Marash embroidery workshops.

Marash embroidery, an ancient Armenian art form also known as Armenian interlaced embroidery, will be taught by ALMA Textile Curator Susan Lind-Sinanian.

Susan will teach the visitors Marash embroidery basics and show beautiful examples from ALMA's texitle collection that date back to the early 19th and 20th century.

The course is suitable for mature teenagers and adults only, almainc.org reported.
