The cultural program dedicated to the 1700-th anniversary of adoption of Christianity as state religion in Armenia was concluded by Antonio Vivaldi's "Tigran" opera premiere. Nineteen composers have devoted their works to the great Armenian king Tigran II. Skarlatti, Hendel, Glyuk and others are among them. Vivaldi's "Tigran" opera was performed only once - in winter 1724 in Rome by the composer himself. As reported by "Arminfo", the score of the masterpiece of the Renaissance epoch was found by music-lover from Teheran Maritsa Sanosian, who discovered it in the university library of Torino Italian town. In 1995 Sanosian brought the score of the 2-nd act of the opera and conveyed it to Doctor of Historical sciences Vardan Grigorian. Unfortunately, the other acts of the opera are absent. Yesterday the opera was presented for the Armenian public judgement. Karen Duragaryan leaded Yerevan Opera and Ballet Theatre orchestra.
