VympelCom to construct LTE net in Armenia after successful testing in Kazakhstan
Igor Klimko, ArmenTel CJSC CEO, said that in case of successful launch of test LTE net in Kazakhstan, VympelCom will bring the technology into countries of its presence, including Armenia.

"It is very important to note that the decision on frequency diapason, in which the LTE net construction will be permitted in Armenia, will also have an impact on our plans. We think that frequencies within 700-800Mhz diapason will be optimal," he said in an interview with PanARMENIAN.Net.

Earlier, VympelCom OJSC CEO Alexander Torbakhov announced the pilot construction of LTE net in Kazakhstan. This will be the first experience of such net construction in the CIS area.

Meanwhile, VivaCell-MTS company stated about its intention to introduce 4G net, which is based on LTE technologies, during this year in Armenia. In his turn, answering the questions of his blog visitors, Bruno Duthoit, the CEO of the third mobile telephony operator in Armenia -Orange Armenia, noted that the company does not intend to replace 3G+ technology by 4G communication.
