Georgia's President Edward Shevardnadze has expressed his readiness to cooperate with any candidate who will swing the second stage of the presidential elections of unrecognized South Osetia. The head of the unrecognized state, apparently, will become 38-year old businessman,
Ex-secretary of Tskhinvali city committee of the Komsomol Edward Kokoyev who had almost 38% of votes at the first stage. His opponent will be the chairman of South Osetia's parliament and the local Communist party leader 46-year old Stanislav Kochiyev, who had 26% of votes. The readiness of Georgian leadership to recognize any end of the elections in South Osetia is pretty notable if to take into consideration that the official figures of this country had statements condemning the NKR's elections for the local bodies of self-government that they recognized not legitimate two months ago.
