Turkey’s plans to split Armenia and Diaspora foiled

The Turkish leadership is maneuvering between threats and offers to establish a dialogue, editor-in-chief of Aztag Beirut-based newspaper Shahan Kandaharian said when commenting on Turkish Foreign Minister’s idea to meet with representatives of Armenian Diaspora.

“We should not forget that Ankara is planning to establish a Ministry of Diaspora to charge it with the task to protect the rights of Turks abroad and fight the Armenian Diaspora,” Mr. Kandaharian told PanARMENIAN.Net.

At that, he emphasized that failing to split Armenia and Diaspora, Turkey is now trying to split the Armenian communities.

“Turkey’s aim is to sham a dialogue with Armenia on the threshold of the Armenian Genocide anniversary,” Mr. Kandaharian said.
