The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations organizes the 36th Session of the European Commission on Agriculture (ECA), which will take place in Yerevan on May 11-12, 2010. The 27th FAO Regional Conference for Europe will be held on May 13-14, 2010, the press service of Regional Environmental Centre for the Caucasus told PanARMENIAN.Net.

They are open to all Member Nations in the FAO European Region, to representatives of the United Nations Bodies and Specialized Agencies, and also to observers.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations leads international efforts to defeat hunger. Serving both developed and developing countries, FAO acts as a neutral forum where all nations meet as equals to negotiate agreements and debate policy. FAO is also a source of knowledge and information. It helps developing countries and countries in transition modernize and improve agriculture, forestry and fisheries practices and ensure good nutrition for all.
