The US is planning to dislocate 15 000 soldiers from Germany to Azerbaijan out of the 70 000 contingent of the US troops in Germany in future. As "Zerkalo" Baku newspaper writes, this statement which caused a stir, according to the Pentagon sources, was spread last evening by "Hurriyet" Turkish newspaper. The present information was as well confirmed by "The Wall Street Journal" newspaper, which making reference to a high rank general, reported that Pentagon is planning to reduce its military presence in Germany and dislocate a part of the troops to Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania, Bulgaria and other Eastern European states. Due to the information available, the US troops should provide "the security of elaboration and transportation of Caspian energy sources". However, this information has not been officially confirmed yet.
