ARKADY GHUKASIAN DOES NOT CONSIDER RUNNING FOR NKR PRESIDENT FOR THE SECOND TERM IMPOSSIBLE
At a press conference held on the results of the working visit to Moscow, the head of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Arkady Ghukasian stated he did not consider the opportunity to run for president at the forthcoming elections impossible next year. As reported by CNA agency, Ghukasian called the present domestic situation in the country "very stable." He reported entrepreneurs of Russia, U.S.A., Switzerland, Iran, Belgium and Turkey succeeded in doing business in Karabakh at the time. The President said he was satisfied with the results of the Karabakh delegation visit to the capital of Russia. In Ghukasian's words, he met "understanding" of the position of Nagorno-Karabakh, particularly by interlocutors in the Foreign Ministry and State Duma, as well as stark assistance of Armenian public and business circles. Not revealing the details of the negotiations held, Arkady Ghukasian stated his meetings in Moscow mark the beginning of a new stage of Nagorno-Karabakh policy directed towards peaceful settlement of the Karabakh problem.
