It’s a pride to see so many Armenians among the veterans of the Great Patriotic War, Speaker of Russia’s Federation Council said.

“Over 600 thousand of Armenians fought for our victory. 90 thousand were honored as USSR heroes,” Sergei Mironov said in his congratulatory address. “Our fraternal nations saved the mankind from fascism. I wish you happy, healthy and long years of life. And let centuries-old Russian-Armenian friendship be strengthened by new generations.”
